Tahaa

Thanks to Moana we got on the correct ferry to Tahaa. Thanks to a lovely woman/man we got off at the right place. Our destination Tapuamu Warf. If you add an extra pu, tu, mu or tea you’ll end up in a way wrong place.

We are sitting pretty much in the middle of no where, a long kayak trip for a warm beer and a $ 6 bag of Doritos. We’ll probably starve (ha ha not really).

The Perle de Tahaa is a campy kind of place, long on romantic  mosquito nets on the bed (because you need them), beautiful sheets, towels, and lots of fancy stone work in the shower.  There is a bit of a problem with cross breeze. We left the door open last night and have made a bunch of new lizard friends.  The view  puts Bora Bora in your lap.

Last night Mike and I brought our chairs to the end of the dock to watch the sun set. It was another beauty, but the competition lay beneath with the world of fish, and coral. The view was 20 to 30 feet of clear aquarium unplugged.  Clear as day and so mesmerizing I almost missed the sunset. After sunset we had dinner with the owner whose girlfriend prepared a traditional Brazilian dinner for us and a few other travelers and locals. It was amazing, so I guess we won’t starve.
